January 24, 2017 Snow Day

Obama 2009 vs Trump 2017

Trump was inaugurated on Friday, January 20.

There was a women's march in Washington DC on the 21st. There were sister marches as far away as Antarctica. I already had plans. A part of me wanted to be part of something big. Another part of me just prayed things would be peaceful and fruitful. Sue Doster spoke at the march in NYC.
Casey and the pups moved in oe whiners. They are reacting to things Trump said and tweeted. In context. The Mexican wall, immigrants, grabbing women, strange cabinet picks... stuff like that.
People protested after Obama's election. They were screaming about wanting to see his birth certificate and screaming about him being a socialist.
One woman on NPR commented that she didn't march because she got no support when she led Black Lives Matter marches. She felt the DC marchers were hypocrites.

We're nitpicking Trump to death.
It's hard not to when things like "I have many environmental awards" roll off his tongue, and he has exactly none.
For a second time since he was elected, he has said that he would have won the popular vote if it weren't for the 30 million illegal votes. Untrue. And HE WON. GIVE IT UP!
His spin doc, Kellyann Conway, has come up with a new term for his lies. "Alternative facts." This was spun in reference to his press secretary's statement that T's inauguration was better attended than Obama's. (see above)
His education secretary knows NOTHING about the laws she is to uphold.
His goal is to eliminate 75% of government regulations. He has already released the pipelines that go through tribal land. Can't wait for those lawsuits to start rolling in...
EPA media blackout by Trump.

I "unfriended" Chris Spiro today. He posted two hateful memes. One was entirely untrue and out of context. I can't see spending the time to cure him of his stupidity, so I unfriended him.

One part of me wants the Dems in congress to just say, "Go for it. Let's just see what happens."
Maybe some things will work and the doomsday screamers will be wrong.
Maybe everything will implode.
I'm going to join a small activist group at Kerri Columbo's house this Sunday.
